How were your Saturdays?

Hello MJ, Saturday was pretty good for us
Grocery shopping, lunch at a local tavern (yummy food) on a side note Bob will have to tell you about me eating an oyster for the first time !!
Lastely, we were told about a scenic over look down the road so we went exploring and it was beautiful pictures will come later today.

Good evening MJ What they find foraging doesn't count against the 10% rule. ALL of my feed recommendations are based upon birds having access to fresh grass daily.

As for Grammy, I think she liked it... The oyster was cooked on the barbie with garlic and parmesan cheese, served up on a piece of toast with a bit of cocktail sauce. I told her next time we go I'll order Oyster Rockefeller for her to try. Not even gonna suggest she try them raw on the half shell

Hi @BY Bob How are things shaping up for your family on the island?

They were able to get off the island yesterday around 6:30 pm. So that's over 36 hours of closure. Saturday morning the state was saying it would be Monday before they got the road open but crews from another state showed up to help. They had to drive through some pretty deep seawater to do it, over 2 feet. My car would not have made it but my daughter had rented an SUV. Power was out on the island overnight Friday and cell phone service was down as well. They are glass to be out and off the island.

Come on........others are waiting......what are you reading War and Peace in there.......any day now.......how does she always get in front of me.........I wonder how I would look with lavender feathers........I could knit a rug in the amount of time she takes........ maybe I should have grabbed that crossword puzzle book......I bet someone is in my new dust bath hole right now........everyday the same thing........I could go for some corn when I'm done.......... maybe a nap in the sun......hey! Don't forget I'm out here waiting........ get the lead out.......i want to take a nap while the sun is still up!

I think that @WhoDatChick might agree that an oyster po'boy might be a great way to go as well. They are delicious.

Yes! Dey are da booommb!! ... the fried oysters on a seafood platter are my fave... I always trade out some shrimp for them

I expanded the chicken yard today. It now encompasses the entirety of the back patch, which is what I had always planned.

My heart bleeds for them Bob. Island living is a real eye opener for some people. Glad everyone is safely off.
