MJ's little flock

The evidence that it's an injury from Peggy is mounting
Oh that Pegsy! She sure can be a miscreant
She's struggling to find her food, but getting a little of it.
The binocular nature of eyes enables effective targeting. It can be overcome as she demonstrated but this was not surprising to see.
Sorry for the list. Sometimes it feels better to just say everything.
I find losing it all out actually helps to make it feel less overwhelming. I'm glad that helped for you. You were dealing with a lot just then. I hope you let Peggy know you did not appreciate what she did.
I've had time free to honour Joyce.
What a marvelous way to do so. :hugs :hugs
awww it must be very nice to have a byc friend you can meet up with in person! Such a cute video
It is an exceptional treat to meet someone from here especially someone as welcoming and fascinating as RC. I could sit and talk to her for hours.
It was a very long drive for Bob, but I was so happy he was willing to make the trip and I gave him a tour of the Chicken Palace and hopefully fed him well.
I kept telling it was no big thing. I love taking the car for drives. I was well fed but to meet all of the girls and spend quality time with RC has been one of the highlights of this year.

It would've been a lovely drive in his special car! I can't imagine Bob not feeling well-fed after a visit. He's a very cordial sort of chap.
She took special care of us for sure. We even got to meet Nightshade!
The zapper came with a little brush to knock the dead bugs off, which should make a nice snack for the hens later.
I never deployed my bug zapper this year. The mosquitos never really tried to overwhelm us. No easy protein for the ladies.

😊
Now I am embarrassed

I have not used the zapper much but I have had the other one that traps the mosquitoes running and just now I was sitting out having lunch with a friend and we took a look at the little cage area and it is absolutely PACKED with them.
I guess I need to wait for them to die before feeding them to the chickens.

Today marks the end of the peach season. I see one peach still on a tree but way too high to reach and I am sure it will be gone by the morning.
I gave away 20-30 pound of peaches and I have been baking nonstop.
I still have a fridge full so will keep baking a bit more.
I feel I am perfecting my technique - compare first tart of the season to the one I am about to put in the oven.
Only Piglet and the ants are still excited about peaches. Even the deer have moved on!
And now the apples are ripe!

She makes very nasty surprise attacks.

It's still a little hectic. The neighbour's pneumonia is ongoing but improving, Aunty went to her friend's funeral yesterday. But my student is now home with her mother and Mary no longer needs treatment, and I have a little time for catching up at work.
What a marvelous way to do so. :hugs :hugs
Oh well, you'd do the same. It's about being the best me I can be.

I bet she has some wonderful tales to tell!

I understand. Face to face time with a fellow chicken enthusiast and online friend is a very rare treat!
What a wonderful home they have.

Did he demonstrate his mousing prowess?

Wow! That's lucky!

Wonderful news Bob! Can she have her medicine wrapped in a treat? Mary became very keen on her bread bits soaked in Ibuprofen.

Is it one of those vacuum ones that puts out a mosquito -attracting scent?
