MJ's little flock

I’m a bit worried about Snowy; she’s still moulting and I’ve found some splatty poos about the place. She’s still vocal and active, but I’m observing her. It’s been pretty wet over the last month or so, I’m wondering if I should be concerned about coccidia.

Hmmm. Can you get her poop tested?

I am loving this fortnight of gently carrying Edie and Katie to the separate coop after dark. I tell them I love them and give them kisses :D they hold on to my fingers with their feet. It's not often I have a reason to pick up and snuggle a hen - I respect their independence too much to do so without one.

I could, it’s really expensive now though. :( Hubby also said he’d given them lots of melon in the last couple of days.
You could give her amprolium if you believe she has coccidiosis. However, hens with coccidiosis are not usually described as,
still vocal and active,
They are usually withdrawn, head pulled in, still and looking miserable.
