What are your yarn chickens up to MJ? Are they celebrating the holidays?

I think they will be! At present they're in their bowl in the kitchen where I see them daily, however I am considering the possibility of a tree this Christmas and if I get one, they will be on it!

The chicks are growing up. How do I know? There was no poop in the water this morning (first time ever). The heat plate is on its tallest legs (first time ever). I've removed the insert from the nest box because they need the headroom in there (first time ever). They have cuddle puddles (more than ever before).

The forecast is for 37C today and lately the forecasts have been underestimating hot days by about 4 degrees. I have to be in the office all day, so I'll set a fan up for the chicks. I seriously doubt they'll need their heat plate today, so instead of using the camping fan, the battery of which is only good for 4-5 hours, I'll unplug the heatplate and plug in a little desk fan for them.
