MJ's little flock

So the pecking order has adapted? Does Janet pick on them more now?
Yes. She's become quite authoritative.

I'm starting to think Ivy might be a cockerel. She's always a little separate from the others and her tail is now bigger in comparison to the rest of her. No crowing or fighting though. No eggs either.

No eggs is a reasonable long term give away. Maybe he's trying to keep his head down.
What will you do if he does turn out to be male?

All the more reason to continue enjoying Fat Bird’s morning cuddle and chat then! :D
She wanted carrying again this morning. I asked a couple of times. I even picked her up and put her down again to fully confirm my intentions. She just stood there looking a bit irritated and mentioned that while I was pissing about the food was getting eaten by the others.

She makes a very good point! She’s going to start doubting your intellect soon if she thinks you haven’t worked out by now what she wants! ;) :gig

If he's quiet I'll keep him and next time Mary's broody, she can try being a mum.

If he's noisy he'll have to go live in a rural setting.

The line between quiet and noisy will be determined by neighbour complaints.
