We got a nice surprise yesterday, seems all the girls in one of our coops decided to lay. So yesterday's count turned out to be an even dozen rather than one or two,

No fun plans today but yesterday got out to Walmart for my calcium pills & fish oil. Couldn't find the canned fruit and two of the employees didn't know where it was either.

So it was all gone or they did not know where it should be, or both?

I provide extra protein when they are molting. I figure they are using a lot to make all those feathers.

Maybe that’s why Chickie is scoffing her cheese and pork mince; she’s moulting!

Ivy says, is this my breakfast?

This morning I was still in my jimjams and drinking a mug of tea in the chickens' big yard while they had some breakfast. My presence deters pigeons, you see.

Anyway, I was watching Peggy chow down when I thought, Where's Ivy?

Then there was a little taptap on my tooshi! It was Ivy checking to see if polka dots are edible. Awww so sweet

Lucy and Chickie will peck away at the pattern on my pants.
