So uncooperative.Good morning everyone! How is your Saturday unfolding? I hope it's had lots of quiet restfulness and a little chicken tv.
Here are Janet and Peggy 5 minutes ago. 5.5 minutes ago, they were in a perfect formation around the mash bowl. I turned the camera towards them and someone said, "Break! Break!"

A little. The important thing is that Mary has shown Ivy that she's supposed to get up once a day for self-care. The lesson has really taken hold and I no longer need to get Ivy off the nest for her own good. That is a double nest. I've never seen that. Wow! Do they talk to each other?
That is wonderful! I'm so happy for you.Janet hopped up for a photo shoot! First time ever. You know, now that two of her hens are sitting most of the day, she's really calmed down and our friendship is deepening

Amazing! Look at that lessons being learned. I love that she taught her. They are much smarter than humans think.A little. Where is the photo?Charlie has co-nested with Lucy and Chickie on separate occasions. Apparently communal nesting is a thing! What was really funny was to see both Charlie and Chickie in the actual nest box, with Chickie squished into the corner and Charlie taking up most of the room!
