Good morning everyone! How is your Saturday unfolding? I hope it's had lots of quiet restfulness and a little chicken tv.

Here are Janet and Peggy 5 minutes ago. 5.5 minutes ago, they were in a perfect formation around the mash bowl. I turned the camera towards them and someone said, "Break! Break!"

A little. The important thing is that Mary has shown Ivy that she's supposed to get up once a day for self-care. The lesson has really taken hold and I no longer need to get Ivy off the nest for her own good.

Janet hopped up for a photo shoot! First time ever. You know, now that two of her hens are sitting most of the day, she's really calmed down and our friendship is deepening

Peggy's the most tyrannical of the flock. I'd be really sad if I didn't rate higher then her

Charlie has co-nested with Lucy and Chickie on separate occasions. Apparently communal nesting is a thing! What was really funny was to see both Charlie and Chickie in the actual nest box, with Chickie squished into the corner and Charlie taking up most of the room!

They get up together, dust bathe together, eat, drink, eat. Mary goes back first. Ivy follows ten minutes later.
