I make the list then forget to look at it.

I used to make lists and forget to look at them or not remember to take them with me.
I've cut out the middleman now and just don't make lists.

It's the last day of work until February. There are five meetiings scheduled. I may hear news that the car is ready (if not I'll be without it until early January).

We have a month's leave each year as part of our "pay" and we get less money in our "pay" because of it. If we don't use it up, we lose it, which is tantamount to throwing money in the bin. So I use it up.
