MJ's little flock

It's a whiting fillet (I think), calamari and prawns on chips, with a salad. In this picture the calamari and prawns are crumbed and I think the whiting has been lightly battered and fried. And in Adelaide we call that type of salad a Greek salad to honour the migrants from Greece who introduced it.

What sort of fishes are available where you live @WhoDatChick ? Here, there's whiting, gar, snapper, flathead, bream. Up where @Ribh lives i think there might be barramundi. Is that right, ribh?
Bit further north for those, MaryJanet. Here it's bream, schnapper, mangrove jacks, flathead, whiting...shark...:) Crabs: muddies & sandies, Bugs & prawns. :(

And seafood lovers: I know perfectly well what I'm missing & it's all yours!:plbb :sick Enjoy ~ so long as it's a long, loooong way away from me!

Seafood is the house specialty round here. We've been to the Lighthouse several times. John used to share a seafood basket with his mum [A feast of fresh, chilled local seafood including, lobster, bugs, crab, prawns, mussels, smoked salmon, oysters and trio of sauces (gf w/o sauces]. He calls their prawns the Dancing Prawns because they sit upright in such a way all their little feelers waggle. How you could eat them after that I do not know... :(
