Catching Mary was not easy.

Sandy was delightful.

Janet was ok once she was in a confined space.

Wow, you've got them in early! It's still coolish outside here.

It's still only 32 here but the thought of catching them in the full heat prompted me to do it now.

Mary: I told you she's an axe murderer! We're all going to die! Mummy told me this would happen one day!

Sandy: I don't think she's an axe murderer. Try not to worry Mary. Have some water.

Janet: if she's an axe murderer, I'm going last.

Good thing actually, catching them early. Less stress on the chickens too.

Most of mine have been cuddling under the small coop.
Hard to actually get a pic because as soon as I appear everyone comes to greet me, just in case[ahem!] I have treats. ​

My three have calmed down now. I gave them a scrambled egg to build their confidence in the scary new space. Janet and Sandy ate some and are now napping, Mary's eating some seventeen and pretending the scrambled egg is poisoned.

Your yard is very shady. Mine is desolate. One day it'll be green and leafy but it's a few years off yet.

That chook! I do like a chookie with tons of personality & lots of attitude ~ & she has both in spades!

Your yard is very shady. Mine is desolate. One day it'll be green and leafy but it's a few years off yet.

Yeah, our neighbours all think we are mad for keeping so many trees but they are an absolute blessing in summer. Drops our outside temp by 5 ~10 degrees! And the chooks love having the shade as well as cool places to shelter.
