The other two don't bother sitting on ice blocks, but Mary has learned to appreciate a chilled tooshi.
Janet's not well this morning. I think she may have coccidiosis from digging in the wet soil yesterday. I'm kicking myself over it.
I've called the vet and will take her in for a diagnosis and treatment.
I put two blue esky ice blocks down for her. She takes a while to sit, so the outside has defrosted by then but its inside is still frozen.I might have to try that, I've bought them ice bricks to put into their water. Do you cover the one Mary sits on or leave it out in the open?
Yes, amprolium is the treatment for coccidiosis. However, my diagnosis could be wrong so I'll wait to see what the vet says.
She'll be fine. She's an otherwise robust little hen.
I've dropped her off with Dr Hill and he'll take a look at her between appointments - his book was full today.
