MJ's little flock

Friends, I'm not entirely healthy at present - just a weird lurgy, nothing serious - so please excuse me if I don't pipe up as often.

If anything chicken-newsworthy occurs, I daresay won't be able to resist sharing it with you, but otherwise, I'm just resting and living a slightly smaller life than usual.

Feel better soon. :hugs

Take care of yourself.

Sending”get well” thoughts your way :hugs

Just don't take over Janet's roost or you'll be in for a pecking! :gig:lau

Seriously there's one spare bedroom and cheap off-season rentals a short walk away if more than one bedroom is needed.

You Aussies have me seriously considering a trip. People plan for years to take and pay for a cruise, why can't I do that for a trip to Australia.

I have NEVER flown so this would be a huge plunge for me. I also assume I'll be in need of a passport.

MJ, @Ribh @LozzyR @Aussie-Chookmum please give me some places to see and a general idea of which areas I would be in. I think I am going to put some serious thought into this.

I've been trying to instill in the kids that memories mean more then things. What better way to make memories then take a trip to an entirely different continent!

Yup, you'll need a passport. And flying is not a big deal, but it will be a long flight. I'm not a fan of flying anymore, but that's just cause I'm old and really miss air travel of the past.:old

You will need a passport but it is easy to get one. You can take care of everything at the post office in Harrisburg including the photos. You just need to make an appointment ahead of time. You do need to allow about 2 months to get it back in order to be safe.

You will actually need either a passport or an upgraded drivers license (costs more) to fly domestically starting in October of this year.
