I'm still amazed by just how much say roosters have about egg laying sites. Mel had already tried the box out and had gone to look elsewhere. Cillin arrived with Mel and he just sat in the box making nesting noises until Mel got in as well. She laid her egg in there.

Ivy is tired of doing what she's told.

She's challenged Janet three times in three days (that I'm aware of). Janet tells her off and then she backs down.

Somehow I don't think the other hens will approve a takeover, Janet least of all.
