She's very shiny just now. In horses, diet plays a part in becoming shiny. Is it the same with chickens? And look how beautiful she is with all that shiny green!

I'm confident I haven't missed anything because the happy trills and shouts she makes once she's out and flapping her wings carry through to my desk and are unique among this flock. I hope I made the right decision when I lifted her down. At worst, it gave her a chance to drink, eat, bathe and flap.If she is going to hatch she is going to need to come off of the nest every day to eat, poo, and dustbathe. If you ever do let her hatch you will have to watch her. Can't have her wasting away to nothing.
I'm glad you are tracking her closely.
I'm wondering how many more she will produce before giving herself a day off.Hooray Mary! Way to go old lady!![]()

She will be OK.I'm confident I haven't missed anything because the happy trills and shouts she makes once she's out and flapping her wings carry through to my desk and are unique among this flock. They are there though. Alfa hen for sure.I thought perhaps my byc friends might like to see the spurs Mary's been growing. They're still rather small.
