MJ's little flock

Also, on a more personal note, I have had trouble with some male tradies adopting a patronising attitude towards me. On two occasions, two different men, I've been asked "do you want x? " and I've answered a clear No. I've come home from work and x has been done to the home my great grandfather provided :he:mad:
That drives me absolutely nuts. When I moved in here I fired the septic engineer in the middle of the job because he continually talked down to me in a 'don't worry your pretty little head about it' sort of way.
Mostly I don't have too much trouble (particularly now I am older and I think some see me as a bit scary) but it is definitely a factor in who I select to do work.
The guys who built the Chicken Palace are a joy and a delight in that regard including not minding that I like to do some stuff myself so sometimes we would just work alongside each other.
Now the chickens on the other hand didn't have a good word to say about the work that any of us do so and are definitely equal opportunity critics!

Sounds like a wonderful society.
It could be. As to be expected there is the not so good to balance it out, but atm there is some kind of balance.
On a topical note, without wishing to get further embroiled, people go to vote here with the belief that they can bring about change. Imo, that's no longer the caes in the UK for example. I'm not a supporter of the sepratist movement here but I like the fact that most are well informed about the parties that stand and politics in general.
