Like I would miss Aurora. I get it.

They're the trouble makers.

Janet, Mary and Ivy are so much calmer without Peggy's constant nagging. But I can tell Ivy looks for her a few times a day.

There's just no pleasing me.
I complain when they all turn up and spend a few hours here at the amount of toilet roll and oxine I get through. I whine when they don't show up for days on end.
Today was perfect. They all arrived; Treacle is in the doorway, had a bit of food and checked the place over then went off to digest under the balckthorn bush. Only one pile of poop to clean up!

I'm cheerful and looking forward to a big day! Oh! I've just it's fluffy butt Friday and I've got a photo to share with BYBob.

Peggy has been admitted for liquid feeding. I think this is a good option for her. I'm hoping it turns her around.

Mary laid an egg while travelling in the car! So we gave it to Dr Hill. She passed her checkup with flying colours! Trouble is, I'll have to bath her again because she spent the night sitting in the basket, which means she had to poop in her butt fluff. It's messy back there.

Will your vet accept that egg for payment?
well, it never hurts to ask.

He didn't weigh her but he said she's poorly maybe she'll thrive again once she's had a few days liquid food with enzymes in it.

I had no idea that a molt could do that to a chicken.

Oh boy. Such a relief. I'm still upset that I didn't intervene sooner with Peggy.

But she was running around and taking bites out of Mary less than a week ago. She tucked into her Sunday dinner with excited noises. It's so hard to know when the vet's needed.

You are so fortunate to have a really good chicken vet.
I found an Avian vet in the area but her patients are basically, parrots, and other pets of that type. I think I brought her the only chicken patient she has.

Peggy's a special case because she has an insufficient pancreas. To keep her healthy, hee food is supplemented with enzymes. So when she went off her food, as chooks will when moulting, she wasn't getting enough enzymes in her diet. It was downhill from there.

I've only gone and burnt my supper again. It's the fault of BYC. I'm going to send the staff my washing up!
