MJ's little flock

One of our friends had chickens that refused to switch. Keep an eye on them. Make certain they start eating it. They can be like cats.
I'm still giving them mashes in the evenings (laced with all the fancy supplements) so hopefully enough food will be consumed but, yes, I'll be watching very carefully.

Good morning Grammy :frow she seems ok. She was running around ten minutes ago and five minutes ago she picked on Ivy. None of the hens were impressed with their new pellets last night. They're used to a grain mix as their grazing food. Mary eventually tucked in but the others decided to pick up crumbs instead. If she keeps up her efforts I'm sure her friends will follow along sooner or later.

That's great news 😍 I so happy she's doing well. It very well could be a case of follow the leader. I look forward to the outcome.

That one's Janet, but you're right, Peggy was the happiest chicken I've ever seen! She was eeping with delight at things like gravel and dried up old weeds. She immediately threw herself into the rough and tumble, dominating Mary and Ivy who were both shattered to have their nemesis back, and chest bumping with Janet who managed to shut her up somehow. It was like Peggy became an extremely chickeny chicken. She had her chicken volume turned up to 11.
That is just wonderful. I am so happy to hear it! It must have been wonderful to see. :clap :clap

Thanks! I try to clothe difference of opinion in respectful terms but it doesn't always translate in a textual format. I also try to make it clear that difference of opinion doesn't impact camaraderie as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully both of these subtexts are being read from my words.
I think you did exceptionally well but I'm not @Ribh it's her perspective that matters.

I feel like I’ve completely missed something, but I’m very behind on Bob and Ribh’s pages, so maybe it will make sense when
I catch up.

I enjoyed all the gratuitous chicken photos. :clap :ya

So the state I live in has had a coronavirus cluster emerge. The virus escaped a medi hotel via two security guards who took it to their families who took it all over. So we're all going into 6 days of hard lockdown 😬 I'm allowed out once a day. Vets are allowed to stay open which is very good for Peggy's follow up. I may go get myself tested.

Have I missed something? I thought MJ & I were all good...??? One can disagree/hold an opposing POV without the whole thing turning into a drama extraordinaire. I did try to check I was staying respectful because this is perhaps not the best way to communicate. If I have upset anyone I sincerely apologise. Not my intention.

We ARE all good! 100% and I think we could probably teach a master class onhow to share and explore opposing views while preserving camaraderie at the same time. So can Kris and Shad.
