MJ's little flock

CCCL that's wonderful. They are so wonderful at that age. Enjoy every minute as it will be over in a flash. My youngest turns 38 this year. She always complained that her birthday was too close to Christmas. When she was old enough to understand I explained that she was a wonderful tax deduction :gig As a repeat C we had the choice, 12/27 or 1/4... I chose the tax deduction.

That's funny!! I probably would have too, I HATED being pregnant 🙃

That's good. We get herons, geese and ducks flying over here. The herons come over quite low sometimes and cause complete panic. It doesn't matter if I'm there. They don't take any chances.
That's ideal really. I like knowing the hens will hide when they have to.

Send help. I'm caught in a cat trap.

Lovely!
Your picture makes me realize I may not be being a good chicken-mom because I don't chop up tomatoes. I either give them whole (if they are looking a bit sad in the fridge), or they get the bit you cut out when chopping for salad for yourself.
Yours are feasting on bruschetta, and given how fast news travels on Beakbook I had better get chopping!
Mind you, what the Beakbook messages will almost certainly skip over is how lady-like yours are eating from the little dish. One of my hooligans (most likely Diana or Dotty) would be standing in the dish. Maybe I can stick with a 'no bruschetta until you learn some table manners' rule :lau :lau

Janet and Peggy can handle whole tomatos, but Mary is a little beak-clumsy, so I chop things up for her. She can't even pick up a meal worm, poor thing. I wonder about her eyesight with those big eyes.
