Sunday breakfast with a side of Christmas jigsaw puzzle

Good evening MJ and all !!



We did , we spent time after eating, laughing and playing the games we bought them for Christmas. It was good to laugh so hard and be silly with the grandkids. Katrina was having fun until the shark jumped and scared her, she was fine when it happened to the rest of us. At any rate, fun was had by everyone. Then we did FaceTime with our daughter after we got home.

I love games at Christmas! It's very dorky, but we play charades and I could not get anyone to guess "halifax" sounds like pal, I, fax... Me, miming a fax machine in the backyard, hahaha we also worked on a jigsaw puzzle and then went to see our aunty and uncle where all the children were for more gifting and a swim in the pool. The kids were brilliant! Utterly ecstatic and very good at sharing and gratitude. I had a long cuddle with the youngest, Elliot who's only two months old. He had a great time, watching the other kids, goggle-eyed.

Games at Christmas are the best! Your Xmases sound wonderful.

We were supposed to gather at my sister's place on the Northern Beaches of Sydney but there was a COVID outbreak there a few days before Xmas. We had a zoom call instead.

There are no young children in the extended family at the moment but we played several rounds of "Pictionary" on line with my youngest and a couple of their friends. It was great fun!

Oh dear.

This morning when I went out to give the girls breakfast Edwina and Pepper were nowhere to be found. They didn't come when I called either.

When I cleaned out the coop, there was Edwina's little black head poking out of the nest box. I looked in the other nest boxes for Pepper but couldn't see her.

That's when I noticed that the black hen in the nesting box had two beaks! Didn't get a photo unfortunately. Once disturbed they decided to see if there was any breakfast left on the breakfast bar.

We played Pictionary one Christmas, even my dad joined in! I think he won a game from memory.
