Ouchy! That's what I thought. Slightly higher than 6 feet. I had to keep mine under 6 feet. That is why the cross beam in the run gets my head almost every time.
2 metres. Which I think is in the ball park of 6 feet.
My requirement was that I could walk around in there without stooping.
I got a shot with the hens for scale.

I think it'll be large enough for 8-12 hens.
It's like playing with a new doll's house only better! And with eggs! Thanks for saying so! I love it and I can't wait to set it up with the hens various toys. Tree stimps, little coop, bale of hay etc. Food and water. Tables for shade. And some new plants.
That would make nice zucchini fritters. Mmmmm. The neighbour asked me if I'd like a zuccini and I was thrilled and said yes, thinking I'd have it with tonight's dinner.
He's a tall one.Six foot five inches. Same height as my brother.
It's very exciting! I'm going to put three veggie beds in it and rotate them so only one is used for growing at a time. I'll fence that one off from the hens while they dig up the other two. It's like playing with a new doll's house only better! And with eggs!
It all sounds very wonderful. It's very exciting! I'm going to put three veggie beds in it and rotate them so only one is used for growing at a time. I'll fence that one off from the hens while they dig up the other two.
I'll put the garden bench in there too, and hang up the cushions to keep them poop free.
For now the old tables will go in for shade and rain shelter. But that's a short term measure while the shade bushes grow. The little coop will help with shade and shelter too, but it'll stay as long as it survives.
This morning I decided where to run a misting system for a bit of cooling on hot days: right through the middle because that's where the hens will be able to avoid the mist getting on their feathers while benefitting from the cool air.
