I'm taking a beach walk, meeting a friend for lunch and going to a pottery to look at their stoneware chicken water containers.

I was so impressed, I got two of the water bottles. They're made here in Adelaide at the pottery.

They are lot nicer than the ones I get.

So far the hens haven't tried them out, but they will in time. They're beginning to realise the bottles hold water. I make a point of spladhing a little each time a hen is watching.

Yes, her hubby is an Indian Brahma breeder and they have a property. She lives an a hour from me so we’re meeting halfway for coffee.

Now they're pretty but expensive. I pay eight euros for the smaller version of what I use. A couple get broken each year.
