MJ's little flock

Very. I'm very satisfied with the dimensions. I'm confident it will comfortably house 8-12 hens, which is my long trrm goal.

I'm also very satisfied with the craftsmanship which is sturdy without being too fussy.

The wire is far stronger than I realised. No fox or dog will be able to tear it off.

I like the way the uprights are placed so they make square shapes between them. There are 8 generous squares and 1 at a time will grow veg.

I think the top left square will be where I eventually put the roosting box. For now, they'll go back and forth mornings and nights so they can roost in the foxproof coop as usual.

I think I'll use the same wire under the paved apron. I'll poke a sheet under the wall, bend it up on the indide and nail it to the lower rail. Then it will make a skirt under the pavers.
It may just be a turn of the phrase but you should use screws, not nails. Nails can be pulled out by dogs for example.

All tuckered out after a big day of moving house.

The hens are moved in properly now!

We put most of their important things in the run.

Ivy has found the nest box. Janet is taking a bath. Mary and Peggy are in a cuddle puddle, under the table and behind the tree stumps.

Everyone has taken a snack and a sip of water.

That is great MJ. They look happy with it and I look forward to the ‘decorating’ pictures (plants etc).
Did you fix the door issue?
