MJ's little flock

You do not understand how nice it is to hear that. There have been times when it has been very painful to share what has happened. It is not easy to talk about how you have failed your ladies. But if it can keep someone else from suffering the same loss you do it. I'm so glad that my failures have helped you. :hugs
I have learnt so much from you Bob, and from everyone on these threads.
Your attitude towards your chickens has given me the courage to become emotionally attached to my birds which is really not the norm around here. As a result I think I am a much better Chook Mum. ❤️
You are a sensational and loving chicken dad.
I know now that sometimes we are helpless to assist them without an avian vet and with illness they usually don’t show it until it’s too late.
From all I’ve read you are very observant and proactive about your tribe. I mean look at Sansa atm, you know what’s normal and what’s not with her and are onto it because you know each of them so well.
Like most things in life, we have to learn the hard way and try not to make the same mistakes again.
Your ladies are very lucky to have you, as are we ☺️
I hope the sentiment of what I’m saying is coming through correctly, that we have all made mistakes but I feel when you say ‘my failures’ that it is too strong a word for you to use when talking about your past hens, that you are being too hard on yourself. 🥺
I’m sorry if this doesn’t make sense, I know it’s not incredibly articulate 😅 I’m running on little sleep due to a sick kid at home 😕
Well said. Couldn't agree more. :thumbsup

You are all very nice to say such things. It truly is great to think we have inspired and helped others with our stories. I am so glad to have virtually met you all.

ACM it is not an easy thing to get emotionally attached to our feathered friends. It takes great courage. :hugs :hugsBut it does make you a better chickeneer.

You too Bob. How is work these days?
Kind of sucks... I have an idiot for a manager who has demonstrated time over time that he is lazy and incompetent. Now he's setting deadlines for me that can't be met, so I'm going to ask for him to provide his expertise to show me how to meet the timeline.
