So lustrous!Some days she's purple, some days she is green, and some days she is blue. I like to think that it is in reflection of her moods. Let me see if I can find a green or blue.

What a lovely feather. Do you collect them MJ? I've taken to keeping some of the nicer ones that my girls drop as both a memento of each hen and for drawing practice. There are so many different types depending on where they came from. It's always a learning experience!I think Ivy is having a moult too. That's a wing feather by her foot. It had only just dropped out.

They really are/were. Black hens have their own beauty. Is Mary iridescent like that?So lustrous!
