She was adorable back then and she is adorable today

Last night while keeping the hens company, I watched whodat's video of her hens being raucous. Peggy and Mary were fascinated until Peggy suddenly launched a violent stealth attack on Mary, who became shocked and frightened after doing nothing wrong and after maybe 8 weeks of calm camaraderie. I guess the noise of the other hens upset Peggy who did her usual thing of blaming Mary. In future, I'll be careful to prevent the hens from hearing other people's flocks.

It was a classic example of Peggy (the smaller, younger hen) being nasty to Mary (the larger, older hen).

If someone did that to Lilly (which I cannot imagine), Hattie would have to take them out for her.

I haven't yet framed any hen photos. I must do one of Sandy.

I found it very comforting to do so. I'm going to do the cats that have lived with us next.

Ivy is on the receiving end of a fair bit of assertive conduct, rarely a full peck though. Mostly from Janet, sometimes from Mary, rarely from Peggy.
