MJ's little flock

How did your vet visit go, MJ?
Good, thanks mate. There are two more doses of inside out to add to their dinners and after that, her poops should continue healthy. If not, I'll give the vet a call and they'll dispense another course.

For now, he's happy with her :)

I was so proud of her last night, letting me lift her off the roost with no fuss!

That's good news! ❤️

I learned an important lesson about my own position in the pecking order yesterday. I went into their chicken-garden and opened the door to the Chicken Palace and sat in my chair and called 'chick-chick-chick'.
They always come running and flying to join me and enjoy the grass.
Nothing.
'chick-chick-chick'.
Nothing.
In a panic with the full set of posts in both the diseases and the predators forums flashing through my head I leapt up and ran into the Chicken Palace to find all 5 of them dust bathing.
In the fullness of time they came out and joined me outside. Each one came up to me to say hello (even Dotty) and each one shook herself all over me.
Lessons learned:
- Never disturb a lady in her bath
- I am not as important as I think I am (way less important than a good bath)
- The average chicken holds a lot of dust (I mean a lot!) and the more fluffy the more dust.
:lau
Ah, it's not just me then. Yep, a good long bath, preferably with as many as can pack into the area is far more important than being nice to humans.

This morning

awesome news and so cute in the basket

It is just SO perfect! As I’ve said before, I just wish I lived near you to offhandedly see them in the basket pulling up at the lights next to your car, it absolutely would make my day amd year 😂💜
Nobody ever notices! That's not true, Janet was recently noticed by pedestrians and Sandy was noticed once, also by pedestrians :)
