Today's photo was taken as we four took shelter from the rain. I believe Janet was oblivious to the rain and working on her sculpture. She's carving an apple core from an apple.

I have to agree. Possums sound like a horde of ...I don't know, rattlesnakes? Really mad rattlesnakes.

Yeah. We used to have a family race along our roof in Sydney. Every so often someone would misjudge the runway & overshoot the mark. The bloodcurdling shriek as they hurtled earthwards was something else. I tried to find something on you tube but nothing that sounds remotely like what we used to hear most nights. They can scream like a woman being murdered. Curlews are good too. ;)
 
I think until meeting all you BYC Ozzies I thought bandicoots were fictional (I am still not 100% sure they aren't!)
You'll be pleased to know I refrained from sharing two news stories about cute marsupials since the Dunnart story. I didn't want to push my luck.
