Maybe when they come to remove it you could ask the guys to cut you some logs? Mine love jumping up and down off logs - I have a lot about 2' long that stand on end. And when I move them there are usually bugs underneath so it is a double benefit.I might see if I can have some branches and logs for the hensSeems a shame to waste them.
Nice and cosy!
I have shamelessly copied the breakfast bar idea - though I have several small ones as I haven't yet found the perfect big long one. They can have a breakfast bar like my girls!
Oh, you meant for perches and things...![]()
They say the imitation is the best from of flattery.I have shamelessly copied the breakfast bar idea - though I have several small ones as I haven't yet found the perfect big long one.
I have to say though that their table manners are atrocious and they end up tossing most of it on the floor anyway!
That is a wonderful photo. In spite of the construction scraps I still haven't tidied up, I love this photo! Have a look at Ivy doing her giraffe impersonation

How did I never know of this place. Opportunity lost. There was such a bookstore in Bethlehem, PA for like 100 years (since sold, sadly). It was several connected row-houses of wall-to-wall books and also unique gift and decorative items, and a quaint and beautiful eating area. They served pastries, various things like English scones, etc., soups, sandwiches, coffees and teas. One could eat in a small dining area, or they also had little bistro tables along the walls and through a glass and stone walkway with green growing foliage and flowers, and browse through your books and whatever.
People loved it. I loved it.
MJ’s little tea shop would be like this.![]()
If it's dirty it tastes better. Period.Riddle me this. There are four containers of feed in the funrun, one each. Last night I noticed sparrow poop in one of them so tipped the poop on the ground along with some of the pellets. It got rained on overnight and is now like a mash.
Is anyone eating clean feed from the containers? No.
Is everyone eating feed from the ground? Yes.
Is it more comfy to eat from the ground? Or maybe the softness of the rain-drenched pellets is irresistible? What is going on here?
I agree with Lozzy. Just being nice for once.I think it’s grooming, I’ve seen Chickie do that before.
Better than cake! Wow that's saying something!Oh, that looks delicious!
Now I can’t wait till tomorrow and have fried eggs! My favorite breakfast ever... even better than cake!!
