I noticed that too! I wondered if they saw him a lot so he was no longer a novelty.

Please excuse me because I missed this question and lost this thread.
I've been so preoccupied trying too settle them and keep them safe. As well as other issues in my home and life. I can assure you they are put before everything.

I read and was told the mash gave them barley any nutrients. They came too me with white patches on their combs and wattles. I kept the mash for four days or so then a mixture of both mash and layers. But I could see Tina wasn't digesting the layers very well, so then I started too ferment again.
This is going exceptionally well. I now add a little chopped banana in the afternoon and there's greens around for them too eat if they want. I've hung carrot tops into the run.

Yes they had some water melon, but only a little

For the last 18 months, I have been battling depression and had to double the dosage of my meds as my usual dose wasn't working. Covid has messed wtih my head and one of the things I've been doing is comfort-eating. Add to this mobility issues with a sore foot and twisted ankle, well, I felt myself sliding downhill. Luckily with my mobility getting better, I've been feeling more motivated to start moving again. Today as I went for my customary 20-minute walk after lunch, listening to a podcast where an Australian TV personality was very frank about the mental health issues he has faced and pondering the deaths that have affected my life recently, I realised that today was a good day because I had the ability to experience good things. I also have the ability to experience future good things and that gives me something to look forward to and work towards. I need to hang onto these little things to help me get through the overwhelming stuff.

Hello :)

I hope you won't mind me butting in.

I can relate too a lot of what you feel. I go down like you but but keep scrambling up somehow.
It's hard to get going with pain isn't it, I sometimes get afraid that I will stop at times but for some unexplainable reason this place keeps me focused.

Two of my friends died the last few weeks and I can't count how many since 2019.

All I can do is hold on after reading what you wrote I'm going too follow you and do something good for me in the next few days ;)
 
I'm a little worried about this, what I ordered as wood chips for their run.

This stuff looks awful but I had to use it because the rain has made their run impossible. I was sent wood shavings :(

The last time I used a different company I was sent wood chips which absorbs really well
