I don't know, whichever brand is cheapest at the supermarket. I think they stock mortein or peabeau or hamebrand.

I can go get coopex from Bunnings.

I've been told no. Chickens are very sensitive to areosol sprays. I was told just to scrub down with ACV.

Oh I see! So if I use an aerosol on their roost, they'll have a reaction to the aerosol part of it?

Um, I think it's the smell. I didn't really go into it. I just wanted to know if I could use a spray & the answer was a definite no.

I've been considering the options for mounting the misting system.

At first I thought right through the middle to maximize the cool air in the run.

But perhaps in the vicinity of the nests is a better choice, especially if someone is going to be setting later.

Not over the nests, I don't want them to get wet or too cold, but not too far off.

Perhaps along this beam (in shade, running from the top of the photo). Nests are to the right, shelter tables are beneath.
