Friends, last night I was told something that seemed like nonsense: hens hatch more pullets than incubators do and incubators hatch more cockerels than hens do.

Is it nonsense?

Why is everything so confusing today there so many different answers on every subject

I know baby crocodiles become either male or female depending on the temperature whilst in the egg, maybe it’s something similar?

On the subject of misters, a restaurant in Florida (very humid) has them setup in each of the four corners of their patio with fans. And the patio was a good 10-15* cooler.

I was not expecting that! I guess the fans aid evaporation.

That's what I thought too, but these were smart people (not biologists though) and now Loz chipped in with the info about crocodile eggs.

They like coming into the back porch as well. I set up a water jar for them and I usually put a bowl of pellets down too.
