MJ's little flock

Sadly, this is an example of what I am talking about. It actually only contains 2 types of bacteria and a yeast.

Saccharomyces Cervisiae (Yeast)
Lactobacillus Casei (bactetia)
Lactobacillus Plantarum (bacteria)

Additionally both bacteria are from the same family, Lactobacillus.

This is not the variety for which you are looking.

This is more like what you need:

There are 9 different bacteria here.
  1. Propionibacterium Freudenreichii
  2. Propionibacterium shermanii
  3. Pediococcus Acidilactici
  4. Pediococcus Pentosaceus
  5. Bifidobacterium Bifidum
  6. Bifidobacterium Animalis
  7. Lactobacillus Acidophilus
  8. Lactobacillus Plantarum
  9. Enterococcus Thermophilus
That's 5 different families and 9 different bacteria. Not too bad.

I am by no means recommending this particular one. It is just an example of the variety which she likely needs to better restore her normal flora. As I said, Sadly most probiotics really don't do the job because they only have 1 or 2 types of bacteria in them.

I'm happy to check any others you find.

Four tables for one at Chez MJ.

Aurora would starve in this environment. How would she keep everyone else from eating any? She would be so busy running from one to another that she would not get any! 🤣

I put 2 tomatoes in the run yesterday and she was totally frustrated trying to eat them both. 😆 Glynda and Lady Featherington kept going to the one Aurora was not eating so Aurora kept switching. I'm not really certain how much Aurora finally ate. :gig

@MaryJanet you can often get more variety from a dab of live Greek yoghurt than from many of the probiotic supplements. But read the label because some Greek yoghurt is also a bit monoculture.
Most expansive of all is kefir. It has so many they can’t even list them! It is why I make my own kefir (though in full transparency I need to start over with that as I neglected my culture).

The one you linked to is the one I am using now while my kefir is out of order.

That is exactly what Diana and Maggie do. But Diana is a particularly efficient eater so vast amounts disappear before your very eyes!
