MJ's little flock

Wow, MJ! That is quite a lot! Amazing that they can remove fatty tissue. You must have an excellent Avian Vet!

All is well here. You probably heard that I had Cashew put down, but everybody else is doing well for the most part. All five of my older girls are molting heavily, but the younger ones seem to be doing OK. Flash stopped laying, and I hope that means she has a molt coming on, too.
He's very good. She would've died without vet care. There was more to the story than I wrote to you, but the important thing is she's thriving again and can return to her outdoor lifestyle!

I had seen the sad news about Cashew. She was a wonderful hen. I'm glad your other he s are doing well. They keep us on our toes! I love moult season, chickens always look amazing in their new feathers :)

When will you get them MJ?
I haven't heard yet. Although I'm mindful that it'll be too late to support Mary and Ivy's reintegration. Should I cancel? I'd prefer to go through with it, especially as it needn't rule out an attempt at a summer hen hatch.

If I stay on the wait list, the wait will be a week or two. Hmm I could use the sleepout for quarantine.

On a brighter note, Peggy seems to be at ease with both Mary and Ivy today! I can't figure her out.

Good evening folks :frow Sorry for my absence, spent the last week in the hospital. I'm recovering now and getting back to normal. On an embarrassing side note, when the ambulance picks you up in your PJs, you get to ride home in the taxi in your PJs. :gig
OMG. So glad you are OK!
Yes the PJ thing is an issue.
