Lovely new chickensIntroducing our new girls
We’ve just been to the zoo and purchased three (hopefully) pullets (not sure how old; ‘a couple of months’ is the best I could get). They are:
Angel (named and chosen by my son)

They’re a barnyard mix, which is what I wanted. I think Bella is the one making baby-peeps, she could be about 16-18 weeks old. She’s tiny and has some Frizzle in her.
I can't believe this is going so smoothly. Both the river chickens and your hens are so laid back! Please tell me what your secret isThe river chickens made themselves at home all day. They took loads of dust baths, explored every corner, found the water and the food, and joined in at dinner time. The four hens took them at face value and didn't turn a hair!

Isn't it! Maybe they didn't have far to walk? But whatever the distance, it's still rather special.Wow, amazing story, thanks for sharing it
I think that is the secret! The river chickens are just so confident and cheerful they've tricked the hens into accepting them without question. Both the river chickens and your hens are so laid back! Please tell me what your secret is.
I love how they have quietly taken over - I am guessing soon they will lead all the others to Blossom’s breakfast!Never a dull moment with these two rascals!
They came inside again. I haven't yet got in the habit of shutting the back door. They finished off Blossom's breakfast with such enthusiasm, one of them stepped on the edge of her water bowl and tipped it over!
