That vegetation behind the hens looks like a great spot for some shade and cover! It's almost like Christa is one of the gang.

I estimate she's 1.25 Christa-lengths from Ivy. That's quite close.
I love that. It looks like she is giving you feedback on your driving!
Here is today’s monster egg from Eli. She is half the size of Bernie who lays the dark brown one.It seems like Eli is your problem chook even though she doesn't bite you. Big eggs are such a worry, maybe her eggs will be smaller in her next season? After all the therapy Bernie underwent as a little one, she's earned a few bites from time to time. And Babs is your good girl. No biting, no roosting up high.
It's quite good. It's the hens favourite shady spot for evenings. Their day time shady spot is beside the driveway, where there's a thick canopy. That's where the treadle feeder is.That vegetation behind the hens looks like a great spot for some shade and cover!
Not. Slow. Enough. Too fast too fast too fast.I love that. It looks like she is giving you feedback on your driving!
That's very big for a little hen! Any ideas about why it's happening? Here is today’s monster egg from Eli. She is half the size of Bernie who lays the dark brown one.
I am traveling right now so the picture was from the lady who comes in to care for the animals. She weighed the big egg as a shade under 3oz. Sigh.
The egg on the upper level with an x on it is the ceramic egg.
