I think so. Snowy has taken to hiding down the side of the henhouse in the mornings to avoid the boys’ attentions, but she seems to be roosting with food in her crop. Bela still complains about being murdered twice a day (according to him ) but they seem to be healthy.

I think your earlier losses were simply a string of bad luck.

The box had been in the sleepout for maybe five minutes before she managed to flip it over and trap herself under it. It has to be said, she sounded mighty cheerful under there!

Next time I need to catch her during daylight, I'll give her a box to play with and bide my time
