MJ's little flock

I'm pretty sure it is your tomorrow puzzle. I learned that lesson RC, don't worry.
I will let you know tomorrow how many goes it took me. I usually do it first thing in the morning as a way to delay getting started with my day.

Me too! I must clear the breakfast dishes and get in the shower.

Honour system. How many did you guess correctly?

Lucky
Muddy
Guppy
Puppy
And I went
STONE
BRAID
and then I wanted to do PUPPY but thought I was betting too hard on P so did PULPY
and then finally
PUPPY

That was a lucky guess!
Not at all
With STONE and BRAID I had eliminated all vowels except U and Y.
A common combination using those two would be XUXXY - which is PUPPY.
I had used up most of the useful consonants as well except for L (hence PULPY).
I really was deducing rather than guessing

Whereas I chose 3 other words with the same pattern. That's where the luck came in.

Yes - your first guess was lucky and my first guess was very unlucky.
The NYT bot is big on distinguishing luck from skill - it will even give you an assessment on each dimension over a two week period.
He scored me lower than him on skill (of course) and higher on luck. But my overall scores in terms of number of guesses to solve the puzzle were better than his.
From this I conclude it is better to be lucky than skilled (at least in NYT Wordle world!).

My first word had 0 correct letters, my second had 1. Then I had the four words in the spoiler that took me up to a six word attempt.
