MJ's little flock

Man that is up there! Lucky they don't get nose bleeds.
How about this one?

Which made me think of this

I thought I had bookmarked another one but I can’t find it right now and I need to recover from my Princesses giving me a heart attack right now. Will look later when I have fully recovered.

The happiest tree! Weren't the chickens careful on their ladder and contented in their tree 😍

I hope it's not too serious. :hugs
Everyone accounted for. But boy is seven a lot to count when you are flustered!
There was lots of screaming and I saw movement out of the corner of my eye from inside the house. Some kind of echo effect against the house or the trees made me think there were chickens screaming in multiple places.
I rushed out cursing that none of them are tame enough to come to my call (need to remedy that) and convinced that either a fox or a hawk had struck and that there was more than one horribly injured chicken screaming.
I knew it wasn’t Bernie because she was adding to the chaos by shouting loudly from inside the Chicken Palace.
I have no idea what actually happened. It might just have been a really bad argument causing Bernie to lose her temper and run after everyone. Or more likely, one of the littles encountered the fence for the first time.
If the latter that is actually good, but my heart is going pitter patter at quite a rate while they are all peacefully harvesting something they seem to find yummy.
I think maybe Babs now has a slight limp though I may be imagining it as she is the least likely to get into trouble - unless she got as flustered as I did by all the commotion and twisted something.

I need a stiff drink!

Is it a converted water tower or something? I can't imagine why someone would build such an inconvenient coop - how to clean the poops out?
Watching it a third time, I see the human stairs. Maybe the poops are bagged up and dropped from above into the bins down below.

Get your drink. It's medicinal at this point.

I should really keep a hip flask in the servants quarters - I am achieving peace by sitting just outside the fence and watching them all busy filling up before bed.
I will have a snifter after they have gone to bed. As you say, medicinal.

Here they are - you wouldn’t think that only minutes ago it was mayhem! I guess I should examine Babs after dark in case she really has hurt a leg.

Look at them! Butter wouldn't melt, the cheeky ratbags.

The junior crew finding a few snacks in the run.

And the landing strip I was telling Manue about. In the photo, my back is against the roost floor. I think the hens should be able to clear the log pile if they decide to fly/jump down. I doubt Mary will make that choice, she'd prefer climbing I think.
