For the not eating part, I understand that the experiences with Lottie and Lorna would have been very frightening.
But i’ve also had a few times the experience that fasting for a few days seemed to be a part of the chicken's healing process.
Maybe it's a two sided coin ? But it certainly is the sign that something is going on.

I hope so. She was hungry for her dinner tonight, but she didn't eat much of it. Right now, she's drinking, so at least I know she's hydrated. And she's not sneezing at all today, which is a little odd.

I've had a thought that now Mary's eye seems ok, I can clean out the little coop and start bringing Christa in to sleep in there at night. That will free up the sleepout, which is the warmest space, and Janet can give it a try. She might prefer being snug at night. I'll hold that thought until the weekend then take action.
