The trouble is that tea bags made in the US (any brand) are made with sweepings - which is basically dust.
I once watched a fascinating documentary about tea auctions and if you grew up in a tea culture you will find US and most of continental Europe lacking in robust tea.

You got smoked right. I’ve had Lapsang before, I don’t think I was that keen. I’d rather have smoked cheese! If I have an espresso coffee, I have to have sugar in it, but if it’s a latte I don’t. And I absolutely despise Lavazza coffee.

Two shots of expresso and an inch of hot water in a glass, not a cup, with a spoonful of unrefined brown sugar.

I was surprised by the lack of good tea in Europe. Cousins near Poitiers but more rural had theirs sent from the UK.
