Hmmm I've developed a dry cough since returning from Sydney. There was an unhealthy person on the plane going over. Maybe Covid has got me at last. I'll get tested.

I'm all caught up on my byc reading, except for Bob's thread, which is too fast for me these days.

The discussion on feeding was fascinating and polite on Shad's thread. As a commercial feed user, I was feeling like I was doing it wrong, so I'm grateful to Shad for precisely spelling out his thoughts on when commercial feed is beneficial. It's also great to see Carbon gradually recovering from whatever it was that ailed her.

Lots of happenings at des Sauches too. Between the hawk attack, tennis elbow, bumblefoot and now suspected ascites, it's been very hectic.

But there's one flock I haven't read about. How are your chickens getting along RC?

Aww. Thank you for asking.
Bernie is molting. She seems fine but is very scruffy.
Babs shows no sign of molting and is busy, busy, busy finding grubs.
Sylvie is having a post broody molt and looks terrible. She is sleeping in a nest box.
Piglet is becoming a mean girl - she is bullying Sylvie.
Tassels is huge and assertive. She has laid a few beautiful army-green eggs but has decided she isn’t laying right now.
Calypso and Pooh show no interest in laying.
Today is damp, dark, and miserable and nobody is interested in going out. Lots of preening going on inside the Chicken Palace.

I was worried the picture was too challenging, but the pieces were all quite unique and could only go together one way.

I think I'll make a second one with more pieces in it in case people want a challenge for their Sundays.

Bit too easy and I definitely prefer pictures of your chickens for the puzzles!
