I do love hearing about snow on a hot summer's day

It's not fun to live with though.

That is after several days of melting and a smaller second snow.
Here was in the middle of the first storm when I waded out to the Chicken Palace to bash snow off the hawk net. Lots on the chair and it is sheltered by the garage wall!

The builders were here yesterday and they installed all of the brackets for the posts. It was tricky in places because they ran into some of the steel within the concrete.

You know you're getting old when you injure yourself while sleeping

I've no clue how I injured my shoulder, all I know is it happened overnight. And it hurts around the back of the joint and beneath the shoulder blade.

They're going to put 6 of the posts up tomorrow. On Tuesday someone is coming to remove the old mortar stains from the bricks where the old columns used to be - that's where the last two posts will go.

Once all the posts are up, the rendering will happen, then the concrete will be sealed and the timber painted.
