MJ's little flock

Wow! I couldn't find any at all! Where were you looking?
I think I just googled it and whatever came up, I then went looking for reviews, which didn't seem favourable. This was a while ago so I can't remember who it was, and they may no longer exist anyway. Pet insurance is mostly for cats and dogs, but it would be nice for 'exotics' as well.

They can use it any time they like, but they choose not to. That was the first time it was hugged.
Strange, unpredictable, endearing creatures!
Mine would be all over that branch for their preening parties.

Preening parties at my place happen on the ground. Perhaps Mary's needs are driving this choice? She prefers to not jump up on to things, after all she is a rather heavy old lady.

I found a long list of bird vets on the budgerigar society's website! Brilliant. And the vets I've been seeing are willing to release the medical data! So I'm equipped to seek surgery for Edie elsewhere.

And they were ok about it and gave me a few names to follow up on.

Following from my previous post, Edie has an appointment with a new vet, Dr Christo, today in a few hours. I've sent through her clinical history. Hopefully he will take her case and be a little more affordable. Dr Christo's clinic is a 35 minute drive away, so that's not too bad.
