MJ's little flock

Today, I'd describe the Australorp pullet as spritely. She's moving around more than she's standing still or napping, and she's been jogging out of joie de vivre.

The Brahma pullet is also keen on life, but that's her status quo.

I still need more info on the Marek's situation. Which strain do they have? Do the older hens already have it, if so, is it the same strain as the pullets?

But it's time they had names. The Australorp is Agnes and the Brahma is Sarah.

Great names! I'm glad they are doing well.

Who are they named for MJ, if you don’t mind sharing.

Great Aunties.

Sarah was Nana's oldest sister and was the grandmother of Mary, who died in 2015. Mary's mother died when Mary was a child, so Sarah provided Mary's mothering.

Agnes was either an aunty or an 'aunty' of dad's. We recall him speaking of Aunty Agnes, but she's not in the family tree. She was most likely a neighbour/friend of Nana's who Dad knew as Aunty.
