That is a large jump in size. Yowza!

I wonder if it's a double-yolker. Today's was her usual bantam-sized egg.

And earlier today I saw Katie and Peggy contemplating the nest box. Katie I can understand but IIRC, Peggy hasn't laid an egg since late 2023!

Edit: Yep, Peg's last egg was in 2023.

It seemed a shame to not take a photo of the other ladies too.

I'm not sure if Mary blinked or if the light caught her eye in a reflective way.

Shame about the milk crate, but she felt safer back there. Hmmm her face does look a little pink. Maybe she does have an egg on the way.

How old is Peggy now? Hattie is rapidly approaching 7 and she is still laying on a semi regular basis, several days a week.
