MJ's little flock

Thank you. I'm getting to the point where I'm scared to fail people, which is not good for state or the students who need to observe how poor their work is.
This is not a great environment in which to work. I hope that something can be done to assist you. This is not a place you want to linger.

I’m glad to read that it’s being dealt with. Seems like a bit of a no-win situation currently.
Well, all people have to do is a bunch of tasks. To my mind, it seems like an easy win for students. But that's not how it works in practice. Many students are under-prepared for long-form attentiveness and too immature to view failure as opportunity.

How did Australia handle schools during early Covid? Did you have extended distance education and school closures? I firmly believe that’s part of what I see in some of my young classmates.

*******

- btw, I’m not interested in a lockdown debate with anyone. They tried to do what they could. Many teachers in the private schools that remained open caught Covid from their students, and classes couldn’t be held because there weren’t teachers available. It was just a tragedy, in so many ways.

Oh, and one thing struck me: these students are in an innovation and entrepreneur track? Good luck starting a business and keeping it running with this imitation of a work ethic.

I have no idea what end note is. It's my in text citations giving all the trouble. I learnt originally to number my quote & put author, text, etc at the bottom of the page but now it's author & page number in brackets after the quote unless the author has already been named. 🙄 And then there's the internet...🤣
Aren’t there like a hundred referencing styles? :th

Yes, Australia went to online learning during Covid; my son was still in primary school at the time. Whilst it was necessary, he struggled with online learning and it was good when he could get back into a classroom.
