MM "Rare Exotic"

Here it is again at 4 weeks. It does have a slight blue tint to him when we bring him indoors or in the shade, and he's starting to get light gray feathers in his wings on tail feathers which you can kind of see in the pictures. His comb is also growing pretty fast, which makes me think he's a rooster, but once again I'm no expert.

PS I'm having some issues uploading pictures, but I do have more of him.

Damiana - I took this picture of my 3 Blue Andalusian pullets from McMurray for you yesterday.

As you see, they are ranging in all colors and that little whitish one was quite white when she was a baby and is now a pale slate color. I noticed the blue coloring in your baby instantly. I also looked at the MM catalog and I really don't think they would send you any plain white breed as their rare exotic. For mine, I got a blue cochin who is actually still looking like a pullet at 5 weeks of age. I forgot to take updated pictures of that one. Keep me posted - I'm curious about what you end up with.

Thank you for the pictures! Mine definitely looks like yours on the far right. After this picture, and the new gray-ish feathers he's been getting in, I'm starting to lean in the favor of a very pale Blue Andalusian. He's very pretty though as he gets bigger - right now he's like a diamond white - so white he has this pale blue glow. I'm thinking about naming him Diamond, whether he turns out to be a rooster or not, lol.

Yeah, his comb is big. The chicks were about 5 weeks old in that picture and have much smaller combs. I think if he gets the white ears of the BA, you will know for sure. Hope you can keep him - the BA roosters are beautiful.
