Moderate Winter Prep

Hi y’all!

I am in Southern California prepping my ducks for the harsh SoCal winter (30-45° at night). I am prepping them by introducing Corn into their diet to add some insulation aside from them being fully feathered. I know ducks are pretty resilient. Is there anything else I need to consider to prep them for the chilly polar-like conditions of Southern California’s drastic Winter climate??!

Oh boy, I guess I better do something soon too! We're 600 miles North of you and it's even colder here. Next weekend it's supposed to be in the low 30's! Yikes!

Perhaps a cruise thru the forum sub folders on winter prep or coop building for winter? Of course YMMV

That sounds like pretty harsh conditions to put them through. Would be best to bring them in the house over the winter.
