Modern Bantams anyone?

Canada, makes it tough to get birds I imagine....I wouldnt let modern bantams run loose as they would be prime targets for coon, owl, etc....but thats just me, mine can fly just fine...

are your birds free rangin? Get you a good coonhound and 2 terriers to run loose, break them from chickens and that will help a lot

NO! My birds aren't free ranging they are penned. I had me a good coonhound but she developed a brain tumor and so I had to put her down saddest thing that I have ever had to do in my entire life I loved her and even worse she was only 2 years old...you know that movie 'where the red ferns grow' old Dan in that movie was her sire...she was the best dog ever

that is too bad, a good hound is a nice thing....what kind of wire do you have on your pens that coons are still gettin your birds? I have 12 guage and 10 guage 2x4 wire, covering good heavy duty chicken wire on my pens...

I have 2 by 3 10 gauge wire 8 1/2 and I even lock them up every night but they figured out how to open the trap door. Ya I will go out at like mid-night and there will be at least one.
Ps she was the best hound ever should could tree a coon within less than a minute.
