maybe all of us "thread killers" should start a thread where we could all post. we wouldn't be thread killers anymore!...persay lol. we'd just keep posting
I know how you feel, and sometimes it stinks, but I know that out of all the people I talk personally that have chickens or had chickens or knew someone that had a chicken. No one gives me more information then here on byc. And that is always appreciated. I hope that everyones responses have helped you, don't give up on here. And good luck with your future posts
I too feel the same way however I realize that it is a huge site for lots of the same questions being asked and answered. I come on throughout the day because I am a SAHM with a deployed husband and kids at school all day. I find if I continue to search and change my wording I find the answers. I try to answer posts but honestly I do not know the answers to the medical ones etc. There are popular people on this board but they usually have a lot of insight and people are drawn to that. I am sorry you feel that way though.....
Jackie I've only been on this site since May and unfortunately I don't have time to read every post. I try to respond to the ones where I think I might be able to help with my suggestions. Also some of the names I recognize from previous posts I click on. My father was from Piggott Arkansas and I still have relatives there, so since I have an Arkansas connection I'll be watching for your posts. I'll look forward to responding.
Sometimes people with fun names that are easy to recognize (in other words, not all smooshed together as one word and overly abbreviated which are hard to figure out) are the people that get noticed as the same person developing a personality over time.
Also, keeping your avatar the same will create a consistency that will alert people that they will really want to read what you wrote. And it helps a LOT if you are polite, nice, fun, and a team player.
At least that's what I've figured out since I joined BYC in June last year...
